Deep-Dive Sections

Each section combines raw data charts, year-by-year tables, and editorial context with full source attribution.

Methodology & Disclaimer

All data used in this analysis section is drawn from publicly available primary sources: RBI Annual Reports, MOSPI/NSSO, NCRB Crime in India reports, World Bank WDI, PLFS surveys, MoF Budget Documents, RSF Press Freedom Index, CACP MSP Notifications, PRS Legislative Research, SFLC.in and Access Now internet shutdown trackers, and DIPAM annual reports.

Comparative averages are period-averages of available annual data. GDP figures use the new 2011-12 base year series from MOSPI. Pre-2014 GDP figures are adjusted for comparability. COVID-19 year (2020) is noted but included in NDA-era averages for completeness.
